What are the classification of different DC plug molds?

According to the different casting system, the DC plug mold can be divided into three categories:

   (1) Large nozzle DC plug mold: the runner and gate are on the parting line, and the product is demolded together with the product during mold opening. The planning is simple, simple processing, and the cost is low, so many people choose the large nozzle system for operation.

(2) Fine outlet DC plug mold: the runner and gate are not on the parting line, and are generally directly on the product, so it is necessary to plan an additional group of parting lines for the nozzle. The planning is more messy and the processing is more difficult, depending on the product requirements Instead, use a fine nozzle system.

(3) Warm runner DC plug mold: The structure of this type of DC plug mold is roughly the same as that of the fine nozzle. The biggest difference is that the runner is located in one or more warm runner plates and hot mouths with constant temperature, and there is no cold material to demold. The runner and gate are directly on the product, so the runner does not need to be demolded. This system is also called a waterless system, which can save raw materials. It is suitable for the situation where the raw materials are more expensive and the product requirements are higher. Planning and processing are difficult. DC The cost of the plug mold is higher.

   Warm runner system, also known as hot runner system, is mainly composed of hot gate sleeve, hot runner board, and temperature control electric box. Our common hot runner system has two methods: single-point hot gate and multi-point hot gate. The single-point hot gate is a single hot gate sleeve that directly injects the molten plastic into the cavity. It is suitable for the plastic DC plug mold with a single cavity and single gate; the multi-point hot gate is to branch the molten material through the hot runner plate Go to each sub-heating gate sleeve and then enter the cavity, it is suitable for single cavity multi-point feeding or multi-cavity DC plug mold.

◆Advantages of warm runner system

   (1) No water mouth material, no post-processing is required, so that the entire molding process is completely automated, saving working time and improving work efficiency.

   (2) Low pressure loss. The temperature of the hot runner is equal to the temperature of the injection nozzle of the injection molding machine, which avoids the appearance of the raw material condensing in the runner, and the injection pressure loss is small.

   (3) The repeated application of the nozzle material will degrade the plastic function, and the use of the hot runner system without the nozzle material can reduce the loss of raw materials and then reduce the cost of the product. The temperature and pressure in the cavity are uniform, the stress of the plastic parts is small, and the density is uniform. Under a lower injection pressure and a shorter molding time, a better product is injected than the general injection system. About transparent parts, thin parts, large plastic parts or high-demand plastics

   can better show its advantages, and can produce larger products with smaller models.

   (4) The standardization and serialization of hot nozzles are selected, with a variety of nozzle heads to choose from, with good interchangeability. The uniquely planned electric heating coil can reach a uniform heating temperature and a long service life. The warm runner system is equipped with warm runner boards, thermostats, etc. It has elaborate planning, diverse varieties, convenient use, and stable and reliable quality.

   ◆Inadequate use of warm runner system

   (1) The closing height of the entire DC plug mold is increased. Due to the addition of hot runner plates, the overall height of the DC plug mold has increased.

   (2) The heat radiation is difficult to control. The biggest disadvantage of the hot runner is the heat loss of the runner, which is a serious problem that needs to be dealt with.

   (3) There is thermal expansion. Thermal expansion and contraction are issues that we should consider when planning.

   (4) The cost of manufacturing DC plug molds is increased, and the price of standard accessories for the hot runner system is higher, which affects the spread of hot runner DC plug molds.
